Holiday Hiatus

I'm taking the next month away from the blog, to focus on holiday cheer, family and friends, and finishing a book rewrite.

Hope your holidays are filled with a few of your favorite things.

See you all back here in January!

XOXO,

Sherry

  1. Have fun on your hiatus. But when you come back, maybe you can tell me....how do you get a cat to wear a Santa hat?? The last cat Christmas clothing I tried was this puffy red collar thing with fake white fur...kind of like a stretchy scrunchy. I put it on Cirrus and he freaked out and ran under the bed. I was worried he would choke himself on it, the poor doof. Too bad, because he would totally look hilarious in one of those kitty neckties they had at Target a while back.

I do not know when I became the type of lady who would even "ironically" consider dressing up her cats. I probably need help, and lots of it.

  2. I say the hat is photoshopped on the cat. It's the only explanation, short of sedatives. (For the cat, not Sherry.)

    Happy Christmas!

  3. Oooo, book rewrite. Sounds interesting. Love the Golden! Good for you. I'm an absolute moron for committing to doing my 24 Advent-ure posts. Happy Holidays and enjoy your time off.

  4. It's about damn time you worked on that rewrite. It has to be done before the move to Key West. The six-toed cats can't wait forever...

  9. I think I like your mad photoshopping skills better than I actually like you now.
Ugh, this picture makes me want to go out and get reindeer antlers for Bo and take pictures of him.... dammit...

  10. Merry Christmas, Sherry! I love the photo. We bought a Santa hat and beard for our cat. Too funny. I'll try to remember to send pics.

    Good luck on the rewrites!

  12. I told myself I wasn't coming back here until January, but I just wanted to confirm to you skeptics: the ever-tolerant Tiger was indeed wearing the Santa hat. However, we couldn't get Ringo (who was still a puppy at the time) to sit still for more than a second next to the cat, so we ended up having to merge two shots together.

OK, I'm leaving this time and not returning for a month. Really. Don't make me come back here.

  13. Woot! Enjoy yourself, Sherry. We'll miss you.

(The animals seem a little unsure about the holiday gaiety. A little catnip, a rasher of bacon, yeah?)

  15. Is it pathetic that I keep checking here every Thursday, even when I KNOW you aren't entertaining me this month.....*sigh*......
